The Mexico United 2026 Project will hold a virtual event to commemorate the International Day of Sport for Development and Peace, which is celebrated every year on April 6, in order to recognize the role of sport and physical activity in communities.

The event aims to position the program in the sports and public agenda, highlight the importance of the protection of labor human rights in all activities related to the preparation and celebration of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, and recognize the role of sport in promoting sustainable development, peace, respect, equality, and inclusion. The event will include a welcome message by the President & CEO of Partners of the Americas, a presentation of the Mexico United 2026 Project, a master conference, a panel discussion, and a closing message.
