What does it mean to create an inclusive community for adults with developmental disabilities? How do we ensure that adults with developmental disabilities have equal opportunities to live, work, and thrive in their communities just like everyone else? Ethan Litvin, Volunteer & Intern Coordinator for SEEC-Seeking Employment, Equality, and Community for People with Developmental Disabilities, will facilitate a dialogue on SEEC’s mission and their model for disability inclusion. The session will also include disability sensitivity training. He will be joined by a board member who will share their experiences with SEEC and with the disability community. Ethan Litvin moved to the Washington D.C. area in January 2020 after receiving his Masters in Nonprofit Management at The Hebrew University in Jerusalem. Prior to working for SEEC, he held various professional and volunteer roles at Jewish nonprofit organizations in India, Israel, Ohio, and Virginia. His passion for building inclusive communities led him to SEEC and he is looking forward to partnering with local communities in helping to drive SEEC’s mission of helping people with intellectual and developmental disabilities to direct their lives with dignity, choice, authority, and responsibility.
