Join us for an inspiring panel, conducted in English, featuring 100K program participants who have recently returned from exchange trips between the U.S. and Latin America. Hear their transformative experiences, cultural insights, and the impact of their journeys. Panelists will share stories, highlight memorable moments through photos, and discuss personal and academic growth.

👤Speakers:
Anahi Flores-Soto
A non-traditional student at New Mexico State University. She participated in the 100K Strong Cacao Irrigation project in Colombia, where she learned about cacao production and engaged in cultural exchange. She is now involved in an ESL club, Conectados, and is exploring new irrigation methods for cacao cultivation. Fernanda Santos
A veterinarian and food safety specialist at NC State University. She focuses on teaching and mentoring students in food safety and has developed new curricula for the food science program. She has received grants to enhance food safety education and strengthen international collaborations.
Nicolle Wagner
An alumna of Universidad de los Andes in Colombia with a background in biomedical engineering and medicine. Her research addresses health disparities and environmental issues. She participated in a 100K Strong-funded program at Drexel University and will begin a PhD in Health Policy and Management at UNC Chapel Hill.
