Wayne Lee is Managing Director and Head, Asia Pacific Region. Mr. Lee is based in Hong Kong and is responsible for all business and governance functions under the Asia Pacific regional management structure.
Prior to this role, Mr. Lee was Senior Vice-President and Chief Financial Officer, CIBC Capital Markets, and was also responsible for finance business support to CIBC’s International Operations, and Strategy and Corporate Development.
Mr. Lee joined CIBC in 2001 and held increasingly senior and international positions, including two years in New York. Prior to joining CIBC, he was with PricewaterhouseCoopers in Toronto
Mr. Lee is Chair of CIBC’s Asia Pacific Management Committee and a member of the Capital Markets Management Committee. Mr. Lee previously served on the CIBC World Markets Inc. Board of Directors and was a member of the CIBC Pension Funding and Expense Committee. Mr. Lee received a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the McGill University (Montreal) and is a Chartered Accountant and a Chartered Financial Analyst
