Environment Community of Practice: Youth Climate Activists
⭕ Recorded on February 16, 2024 | 7:00 p.m. ET
🗣️ English and Spanish
As humanity faces major crises caused by environmental pollution, extreme weather, and the loss of biodiversity, there is still hope. Your activists from Peru and Bolivia have stepped forward to raise awareness, demand action, and propose solutions to the crisis they find in their own backyard, the degradation of Lake Titicaca. Lake Titicaca, the largest freshwater lake in South America, is in peril from the effects of industrial pollution, loss of native species, and the disappearance of the glaciers that feed the lake due to due climate change.
On Friday, February 16 at 7 PM eastern, you are invited to join a conversation with three of these remarkable youth leaders: Ebelin Vilca Cahuana, Stephanie Gavilán, and Daniel Zalazar. They will share their stories, insights, and strategies on how to save Lake Titicaca and the planet.
