I am Alysson Reis, a public management graduate and Systems Development student committed to social transformation through education, violence prevention, sustainability, and global citizenship. I volunteer since the age of 14 and I am now part of the UNODC Brazil Youth Network, a teacher, and the coordinator of the Free English Project, expanding access to language education for underserved communities. I am also the founder of Quilombo Cidadão, a community-driven initiative that empowers traditional and Afro-Brazilian communities through education, civic engagement, and socio-environmental action. As a socio-environmental activist, I volunteer with the Xô Plástico movement and serve as a four-time World Cleanup Day Leader, mobilizing collective action for environmental justice. My leadership has reached global platforms: I am an alumni of the U.S. Department of State, where I participated in a leadership program that led me to engage in meetings at the U.S. Senate and the White House. I have also served as a Y20 delegate and was a panelist at the ECOSOC Youth Forum 2026, where I spoke on Sustainable Cities and Communities, highlighting youth-led green initiatives in Brazil’s traditional communities. In 2024, I contributed as a Y20 Pernambuco mediator, strengthening youth participation in global governance. Driven by purpose and rooted in my community, I work to amplify marginalized voices, promote sustainable development, and build pathways for young people to lead change locally and globally.
